Joe studied violin at the Berklee school of Music and DePaul University where he received scholarships to both. He studied with Matt Glaser, Darol Angor and John Blake. Joe has been a member of the Syracuse Pops Symphony for ten years, and instrumentalist for the Irish show band, The Flyin' Column and the SAMMY award winning bluegrass group the Delaney Brothers. Joe was nominated a SAMMY award for Best Bluegrass Instrumentalist in 1999, and won the category in 2001.
